Status update for Spread of Excellence

The deliverables outlined in the workplan have been reached
Supportive resources have been, and continue to be, developed for EUTOS for CML and the subprojects
Activities have been undertaken to raise awareness of EUTOS for CML within the medical community including a presence at key congresses
The dedicated EUTOS for CML website has been set up to provide access to up to date information for physicians.

A successful media event was held in Budapest, Hungary in October 2007 to launch the project
To date, the coverage of this event has reached an audience of more than 2 million people across 9 markets
A 1 year anniversary media event is planned prior to the beginning of the 2008 ELN meeting being held in Cannes, France in October 2008
Continued activity through 2008 and into 2009 will maintain the flow of information to key audiences
PR activities will continue to drive the EUTOS project through the second year
